I like this case very much. but I took off 2 stars for the following reasons:
1. When I bought it, it was advertised as "Genuine Leather". When I received it, the smell of vinyl was unmistakeable. They have since changed the writeup to state "imitation leather".
2. The magnetic latch which is supposed to hold the case closed securely, is WORTHLESS. Magnets are not strong enough to penetrate the case to hold the flap shut. Didn't even know there was a magnetic latch when I bought it -- they must've updated the description. I was considering adding a velcro flap to hold it shut before I realized there were magnets and they were supposed to work! That's how necessary it is to keeping this closed when traveling with it.
The design is very nice and makes it easy to read in the horizontal position (web pages, movies, etc.). Kindle is held securely.
I'm sending this back for replacement and hope that I just got one with defective magnets....I will report when I receive the new one.

I was so excited when I first received my kindle fire, quickly downloading books and apps and using it right away. What I realized almost immediately was the necessity of a case. I looked at a lot of cases online, reading all of the reviews, etc. and decided to go with this case. I am not disappointed in the least. The black faux leather looks fantastic and it is incredibly sturdy. The soft, suede-like interior is very nice, though it does have a bit of a plastic-y smell to it right now, which has already started to fade. The enclosure for the kindle is superb, I have no worries that my kindle will come flying out (which is what worried me about some of the other cases where the device is held in with elastic at the corners). The kindle does not move at all in this case. I actually think the case makes the kindle easier to use/handle, and it works nicely as a stand. Some reviewers have commented on the magnetic clasp being weak and useless- it is not the best magnetic clasp I have ever used, but it is still pretty decent, and has enough resistance where I am not concerned that it will come open in my purse. The magnetic clasp is still much better than a velcro closure. I would definitely buy this case again (and maybe in that fantastic lime color!).

This is the second case I purchased for my Kindle Fire. It is much more substantial and offers quite a bit of protection against dropping and other accidents. It is also quite handy to have that locking prop feature that a lot of covers do not have. Compared to my $30+ case with the bitsy plastic cover this one is simply excellent!

this is a very sturdy,lightweight and well priced product! I love that it stands on its own.I would not pay more for a different model because this works as good or better then the higher priced Kindle Fire covers.LOVE it!

This is a great case for the price. Only downside is only one "setting" for using the case as a stand - sometimes the viewing angle results in glare. Other than that, it works great!
